As a reporter in New York, I have been on staff at THE CITY, POLITICO New York, Crain’s New York Business and DNAinfo, covering City Hall, city jails and the lives of city people.

Covering New York City as a generalist has given me an education in business, housing policy, criminal justice, and political science. I’ve also reported across the country for stories on drugs, addiction and the law (The New York Times, The Nation, VICE).

I have an MA from the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY.
